ME&E President and owner, Dustin Sullivan, PE, has been with ME&E since 1995, serving as vice president and co-owner from 1997–2019. ME&E Vice President, Nate Brush, has served the firm since 2003. ME&E averages about 50 projects per year within a 400-mile radius of our headquarters in Durango, Colorado.

President, PE – Lead Mechanical Engineer

Sullivan brings nearly 25 years of extensive experience leading projects, serving clients, and designing mechanical systems. He has personally designed more than 400 school projects, as well as mechanical systems for hospitals and clinics, hotels, fire stations, retail spaces, offices, casinos, jails, recreational facilities, libraries, animal shelters, natatoriums, residences, and more. He provides expert integration for all aspects of our projects, while leading the firm as president. He is a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers).

Vice President, Mechanical & Electrical Designer

Brush brings more than a decade of experience in the MEP industry to our clients and our firm. While serving as our mechanical and electrical designer, he helps with all internal operations and client services as Vice President. His in-depth knowledge of special systems (fire alarm, data, access control, etc.) complements the team’s design expertise.

Brophy brings expertise and in-depth knowledge to ME&E Engineering. Practicing since 2007, he has worked at large Denver-based firms before moving to the Durango area in 2019. His past experience dovetails with the types of projects that ME&E has historically designed: educational (universities, community colleges, high schools, middle schools, elementary schools), commercial and hospitality (restaurants, golf courses, data centers), light industry (fueling stations, command stations), and governmental facilities (international airports, U.S. Air Force bases).

Mechanical Engineer – EIT

Brenner returned to Durango after four years in Vail, where he worked at a mechanical engineering firm specializing in luxury residences. He joined the ME&E Engineering design team in January 2020.

Mechanical Designer

Osgood has 30 plus years of experience in mechanical design and provides most of the plumbing design to our projects. He is a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) and a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD).

Emeritus Consultant

Cummins has worked in the mechanical & electrical design and energy management industry since 1978. He co-founded Mechanical, Electrical & Environmental Engineering in 1981, and since his retirement in July 2019, he continues to provide valuable counsel to the ME&E team as an emeritus consultant.

Business Operations Manager

Naisbitt brings decades of business management experience, both in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, to ME&E. She is adept at growing small businesses of all types – retail, science education, college consulting, and more. At the Telluride Science Research Center, for example, she grew the non-profit organization from a small science club with about 250 participants to an international molecular science community with 5,200 participating international scientists; she grew the reserves from $15K to $1M; she oversaw an increase in the annual budget from $90,000 to more than $1.6M – all from 2003 to 2015.
